Sonora Environmental Research Institute, Inc., Tucson

We are a non-profit, tax-exempt organization, founded in 1994 to fulfill the need for unbiased research and technical assistance on environmental issues. Many environmental issues have less than perfect or no real solutions. We conduct scientific research to attempt to find solutions to these problems based on a sustainable future. Our strategies to accomplish this are: - to use science and technology to create solutions rather than problems, solutions which respect the earth and understand our partnership with it; - to enhance society's ability to protect the environment and human health; and - to provide communities with methods to mitigate the effects of exposure to pollutants and environmental threats to their health and livelihood.
